Amy Winehouse's ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, is fighting for his life after a drug and alcohol overdose. Blake's girlfriend called paramedics after she found him choking in bed on Friday, one day after he arrived home staggering and slurring his words. She claims he was most likely "on something." Blake has a 15-month-old son with his girlfriend and the couple recently talked about getting married.
Fielder-Civil suffered multiple organ failure, and was put into a medically induced coma and is on life support.
Amy's dad, Mitch Winehouse, wrote in his book about how he isn't a fan of Blake and claims Amy started doing drugs after she was introduced to Fielder-Civil back in 2005. Blake has been a heroin addict for years and has been arrested multiple times. Even though Blake and Mitch don't get along, Mitch tweeted, "Terrible news about Blake this morning. Remember Amy loved him. Let's pray for his recovery."
In 2010, Amy was found dead at her home in Camden, north London at the age of 27. Winehouse died of alcohol poisoning and was more than 5 times the legal drinking-and-driving limit.
