JONAS BROTHERS- NEW SONGS...AND SOUND

Recent Hollywood Records press release:

Jonas Brothers' new album Lines, Vines and Trying Times is scheduled for world wide release June 16. Ramp up kicks off May 8 with the release of first single 'Paranoid.' On May 8, 'Paranoid' will roll out to radio and online worldwide.

The video for 'Paranoid' will be directed by The Malloys, who previously worked with Jonas Brothers on their 'Burnin' Up.' video. They've incorporated horns into several songs, as well as harmonicas and peddle steel guitars. 'Paranoid' is a guitar driven dance evoking song.'

World War III' is a funk metaphor for a confrontational relationship. Written by Nick Jonas, he asserts, 'This is a personal experience for me. 'World War III' deals with the challenge of a girl who keeps attacking you, provoking you, trying to fight you, but all the while she's the only one fighting.

''Fly With Me' which is also the end title credit for the upcoming Night At The Museum 2 film, due in theaters May 22, was written by Jonas Brothers and their bass player Greg Garbowsky, and is sure to become a love song for the ages. On 'Poison Ivy' Jonas Brothers added a horn section.

Rolling Stone described 'Poison Ivy' as a 'Weezer-ish tune about a toxic girl that you can't resist.' 'Hey Baby' is a classic 'she done him wrong" song written entirely by Jonas Brothers. Nick explains, 'We wrote this song for the last record while on the road and felt the old school sound was more cohesive with our present style.

Jamie Lynn Spears and her daughter Maddie went to see Casey Aldridge, the father of Jamie's baby, at the hospital after he was in a serious car accident recently. Sources say that Casey fractured his skull, but will be OK.
Jamie Lynn and Maddie haven't been seen in public for a while, but sources are saying Jamie Lynn wants to start acting again soon.
"She's been reading scripts for a month, trying to find the right project," says a Spears family insider.

The Jonas Brothers made the cover of the June/July issue of Seventeen Magazine.

In the issue, Joe talks about where he pictures himself in 5 years. "I guess personally, I would love to do more acting, maybe movies," Joe says, "That would be really cool. I think Johnny Depp's work is really great - he always incorporates music into what he does. And maybe write a book one day, because I love to read. 'The Alchemist' is my favorite book of all time."

Making an early alert to retailers, Disney has set a late-June bow for the Jonas Brothers big screen musical epic 'The 3-D Concert Experience' to Blu-ray in late-June.
Following a brief theatrical run earlier this year and a box office take north of $30 million, Jonas Brothers: The 3-D Concert Experience will hit Blu-ray on June 30, day-and-date with the DVD.
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $44.95.

Selena Gomez and Taylor Lautner were seen at the Cactus Club for a dinner date.
Lainey Gossip reports, "Taylor and Selena had a dinner date at the Cactus club on Saturday night: They emerged in great spirits, both with big smiles on their faces, Selena held on to Taylor's arm. At one point, after they had become separated and she fell behind to sign autographs, she ran back up to join him, throwing her arms around his neck, both bursting into giggles."

JANSEN PANETTIERE HAS A CRUSH ON DEMI LOVATO

We recently interviewed actor, Jansen Panettiere. In the interview, he admitted he has a crush on actress/singer Demi Lovato.

"Her voice is amazing," Jansen said, "And she is really cute."

He also told us the craziest thing a fan has said to him, "There was one time when I was on vacation in New York and there this girl and she came up to me and was like, 'Would you like to marry me?' and I was like, 'Ask me in 10 years again.'

CASEY ALDRIDGE HOSPITALIZED AFTER CAR ACCIDENT

Casey Aldridge, the father of Jamie Lynn Spears's daughter Maddie, was hospitalized after a car accident on April 26.
Casey was coming back from a fishing trip early in the morning when his car was wrecked.
Jamie-Lynn is by his side at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he is in stable condition.
Radar Online reports that "Doctors fear Casey has a blood clot near his brain, and is about to undergo surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center."

JANSEN PANETTIERE IS EXCITED TO WORK WITH HAYDEN

We had the chance to talk to actor, Jansen Panettiere recently.
Jansen will be in a new movie called Carmel. The cast includes Josh Hutcherson, Hayden Panettiere, Alfred Molina and Jansen Panettiere.

We asked him how he felt about working with his older sister, Hayden.
Jansen said, "I was excited to work with her again."

We also asked if he will be playing the brother of Hayden in the movie, "Sorry," Jansen said, "I can't tell you any details about the movie. Haha."

Jansen added, "[The movie] is filmed in Carmel, California."

Now we know where the title comes from!

CHRIS CODY CYRUS..MILEY'S LOST BROTHER?

Christopher Cody Cyrus is supposedly the "long lost" brother of Miley Cyrus. Star Magazine wrote about the son of Billy Ray Cyrus and Kristin Luckey, in their upcoming issue. Chris lives near Fort Worth, Texas with his mother and stepfather.

Kristen said: 'Christopher has seen Miley fewer than five times in his entire life, mostly when they were little kids.' She was a waitress in South Carolina when she got pregnant with Christopher in July 1991 during a relationship with Billy. They had split by the time their son was born the following April.

Billy went back in Kentucky where Miley's mom Tish was pregnant with her. A source told Star: 'Tish is a very vindictive woman. Because Billy Ray was seeing Kristin around the same time he was seeing her, she wants him and everyone else in the family to have as little to do with Christopher as possible.'

Kristin hopes Chris can connect with Billy Ray and Miley: 'Christopher definitely wants to have a better relationship with his father. And I'm sure that would lead to a wonderful relationship with Miley too.'

So Embarrassed! Last night I went to the movie premiere of Zac Efron's movie 17 Again and it was really good! I had a lot of fun, but it would have been better if my dad had not brought his camera because he really embarrassed me.

We were sitting in our seats waiting for the movie to start and Nick Jonas comes and sits right next to me. Now I have met all of the Jonas Brothers before on many different occasions. I even knew them before they were so famous so I am not all hyped up to see them or anything like that, congratulations to them but I was not trying to take a picture with them or anyone for that matter, just came to watch the movie.

Well, when my dad had other plans, he whips out his camera and yells, 'hey Nick can I get a picture of you with Keke', I could have died, first of all he made me sound like a groupie, and second of all right after the picture Nick got up and moved like we were bothering him!

That's cool, but again I did not want a picture with him or anyone in that room, it was my dad and this is not the first time he has embarrassed me in this way..

Once when we were at the KCA's about 2 years ago we saw a very famous person bigger than the Jonas Brothers, and my dad yelled, 'hey my daughter Keke loves you'! I could have died because he not only told this famous person but everyone else in the room!!

Joe, Nick, Kevin, and Frankie Jonas were spotted with and Camilla Belle at an LA Dodgers game on April 14. Joe seemed to be more focused on Camilla than the game! They looked so cute together, Joe had his arm around her for a part of the game.

A fan who was at the game said, "Joe was more focused on Camilla than the game and even bought her a Dodger hat so she could wear one too. I asked Nick for a picture and he was really happy to take one and when I called Joe over, he made eye contact with me and just ignored me."

AN UNFORGETTABLE "VIP" EASTER

Hey everybody! I hope you all had a great week!

For Easter, my family and I decided to go to the House of Blues Gospel Brunch in Chicago. It's not what many people would do for Easter, but my family really likes to have a good time. I was excited to have a great brunch, be with my family, and listen to live music at the same time.
So we got to the HOB, and we thought we'd be seated in the "pit" with almost everyone else. To our surprise, the HOB staff was nice enough to bring my family and I to the VIP box seat section. I was in shock. As an entertainment journalist, I always write about the celebrities that are asked to sit in the boxes, and now my family and I would be sitting in one. We were seated behind the curtain, so we could see the band setting up.
When we were in the box, we saw people waving at us from the crowd below. So of course we waved back, and took pictures. The music, food, staff, and experience was amazing! Great memories!

"THE LAST SONG" AUDITIONS- STARRING MILEY CYRUS!

Miley Cyrus is set to star in "The Last Song" which is "A drama centered on a rebellious young woman who is sent to spend the summer with her estranged father." A release date has not been announced, but the film will begin production in June 2009.

Miley Cyrus added a Twitter photo that shows Miley "stalking" her sister Brandi while she was sleeping (top). The caption said, Stalking brandi while she sleeps.... Again!

People thought Miley was being "rude" when she added the "stalking" photo, so she added another one (bottom). The caption to the new photo bottom said, See I'm not mean! Brandi took a pic ( the worst ever) of me sleeping. Miley's younger brother Braison is also in the picture.

JONAS BROTHERS TO PLAY AT BAMBOOZLE?

"According to multiple sources, including Honor Society sources that have emailed us, the Jonas Brothers are planning to make a surprise appearance at Bamboozle 2009 in New Jersey performing alongside with Honor Society on May 3 (The same day that Demi Lovato is performing - how ironic!). The JB are making these plans and hoping that they do not fall through. Tickets for Bamboozle are still available. Note to JB fans though - reminder they may only be singing 1 song with HS - Don't Close the Book."

Miranda Cosgrove and Victoria Justice were throwing punches at one another for an upcoming episode of iCarly. The episode will air in May, and is called "iFight Shelby Marx."
Victoria recently blogged about the episode. She wrote, "The role I'm playing is the most physically demanding role I've ever had to play. I'd tell you more, but I don't think I can without Nickelodeon's approval. But I will say I'm really sore and really bruised on my arms and a little on my legs."

Popstar magazine recently chatted with Selena Gomez. She talked about how she WAS NEVER dating Nick Jonas.

'I honestly think fans wouldn't have put us together if I hadn't been in the video for 'Burnin' Up. Because I used to always get asked if I was dating Joe Jonas. They always put Joe and I together way before Nick and myself. Like, literally, it was always Joe. I think that when I appeared in the video and they saw Nick and I next to each other, people thought, 'Oh, look, they're together!' People started to say that we would make a cute couple, which is a compliment because I think he's darling. But that's what started it all. If I wasn't in that video, I guarantee you that none of this would be happening.

Miley Cyrus was recently interviewed for Glamour Magazine. Glamour asked Miley how she met her current boyfriend, Justin Gaston.

She responded, My dad introduced us on the Hannah Montana set. I looked so bad that day. I was wearing sweats and glasses, and we talked. Then he showed up the next day and said, "I can't stop thinking about you. Can I take you to a movie?" When he took me home, I said, "I don't want to get close to you, because I don't know where this is going to go." And he said, "Well, you can't live like that." So we took a 3 mile walk, and talked and talked. And I felt 10 pounds lifting off my shoulders. Now he's my bestfriend.

Miley Cyrus and ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas are set to duet for an all-star charity record.
The pair is taking part in a record which will encourage kids to be kinder towards each other. The track, Pass It On, will also feature Joe and Kevin.

Miley recently talked about her current relationship with Nick, "We don't hate each other. We really love each other. He's really cool, and I'm happy we've been able to stay friends. Everyone thinks that me and the Jonas Brothers have this big feud going on, and me and Nick are really close friends now. We talk all the time and he's one of my best friends."
